 A talk on Chandrayaan-3

Sonu: Hi Monu, Have you heard about the Chandrayaan-3 mission that India launched a few days ago?

Monu: Yes Sobu, I have read about it. It's our  third moon mission, right?

Sonu: Yes you are right! It's our third  mission on the moon's surface. The launch happened on July 14th from our space center.

Monu: Nice! So, I am eager to know more about it

Sonu: Well, we have got a lander called Vikram and a rover named Pragyan. The lander will gently touch down and drop the rover on the moon to explore.

Monu: Interesting! What's the main goal of this mission?

Sonu:    The mission Chandrayaan-3 has three main  objectives of  and they are: 1.To demonstrate Safe and Soft Landing on Lunar Surface   2.To demonstrate Rover roving on the moon and   3.To conduct  scientific experiments.

Monu:  Hmm! . Now I understand. So, why is this mission so important?

Sonu: Well, it's India's big attempt at putting a rover on the moon's surface, which is a pretty big deal for their space program. If it works, it'll show we can explore space more.

Monu: And it's not just India, right? Other countries benefit too?

Sonu: Exactly! The whole world learns from missions like these. Further, they're looking to land near the moon's south pole, where there might be water ice, which could be super useful.

Monu: Great, water on the moon? That's something amazing. Thanks for sharing all these, I have learned a lot!

Sonu: No problem, happy to share! Space is always fascinating.

  A talk about Improving handwriting

Mayur: Hi Mehul,  I  have been worried about my handwriting recently because it affects my marks in the exam. Have you ever thought about improving your handwriting? I want to improve my handwriting.I want your help and some tips and tricks.

Mehul: Yeah, I've actually been working on that too. I think there are some steps we can take to make our handwriting clean and more legible.

Mayur: That's great! What do you suggest we do?

Mehul: Well, first off, choosing the right pen or pencil can make a difference. Some people find gel pens or ballpoint pens easier to control, while others prefer traditional pens. It's all about what feels comfortable in your hand.

Mayur: Good point. I'll have to experiment and see what works best for me. What about paper? Does that matter?

Mehul: Absolutely,  papers with lines or even graph paper can provide guidelines and help you maintain consistent size and spacing.  It's easier to keep your writing straight.

Mayur: Makes sense. I'll start using lined paper for practice. What else can we do?

Mehul: Paying attention to your grip and posture is important too. Hold the pen or pencil with a relaxed grip, and sit with good posture. It helps with smoother movement and control.

Mayur: I'll keep that in mind. What about actually forming the letters? Any tips for that?

Mehul: Definitely. Slow down and focus on forming each letter neatly. Practice writing individual letters over and over.

Mayur: I'll practice each letter until I'm comfortable with them. How about spacing between letters and words?

Mehul: Spacing is important for clarity. Use the guidelines on lined paper to help you maintain consistent spacing between letters and words. It might feel a bit awkward at first, but with practice, it becomes easier.

Mayur: I'll try my best to pay attention to spacing. Do you think copying well-written examples could help?

Mehul: Absolutely. Tracing over well-written letters or copying passages from books can help you understand the shapes of letters and develop muscle memory. It's a great way to learn different styles too.

Mayur: Got it. And I guess patience is important too, right?

Mehul: Definitely. Improving handwriting takes time and practice. Don't get discouraged if you don't see immediate results. Keep at it, and you'll notice improvement over time.

Mayur: Thanks for all the tips! I'm excited to start working on my handwriting. Let's encourage each other to practice regularly.

Mehul: We can set a schedule and track our progress together. Let's do this!

Developing English Proficiency

Teacher: Do you understand what I speak?

Students: Yes sir, but not all. We request you to speak in Gujarati.

Teacher: As an English Language student, you should make a habit of listening to English. If you listen to English regularly then you can develop your speaking ability. This is the best way to improve your English proficiency.

Students: You are right sir. But sometimes some words don't make sense to us. So we miss the meaning of the whole sentence.

Teacher: In the beginning of learning any language it happens. So one should enrich the vocabulary. So keep a small dictionary with you always. Jot down difficult words or if possible open a dictionary and find the meaning of it whenever they come across to you. Use those unfamiliar words as much as possible in your daily use. With this habit you will be a good listener and a good reader within a few days.

Student: Sir, you have given me excellent advice. Now I will make this a habit. Sir now-a-days I use Google instead of a hard copy of a dictionary. It is quite convenient to us.

Teacher: Yes, definitely you can use it. Nowadays your generation is tech savvy and smart. So you can make best use of it to master your language. Nowadays technology is so advanced that you can learn whatever you want.

Students: I want some tips to improve writing skill also.

Teacher: Yes, you have to, but for now focus on listening and speaking proficiency. Soon we will discuss about

writing skill also.

Student: Ok. Thank you sir.

 Meeting For The First Time

John: Hi

Ria: Hi

John:  Are you new here?

Ria:  No, I am not new here, but I have been living here for three years.

John: But I haven't seen you ever here.

Ria: Maybe because mostly my working hours are very odds. I leave my home quite early in the morning and come very late and then I hardly come out. I go on short trips with friends on holidays. Nowadays due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I work from home and hardly go out.

John: Yes me too in the same situation. By the way, what do you do?

Ria: I work for  MNC.

John: Nice to meet you. I have to go because my friend must have arrived at my home and waiting for me. See you.

Ria: Ok bye! See you soon around.

Discussion On Career selection

Suresh: Hi Mahesh! What's going on?

Mahesh: Things are not ok nowadays. Bit confused about my career. I want your help regarding this matter.

Suresh: Yes come on. Share your problem and confusion. Probably I will help you in some way.

Mahesh: You know that right now I am pursuing my B.A. and as this is the last year of my UG. I am bit confused about what to do after my BA.

Suresh: You should simply continue for advanced study with your BA special subject. You can go for MA. You can pursue your masters if you are interested in your subject.

Mahesh: Yes I have made my mind on that. But still I want to know the career opportunities after BA. Sometimes some other fields seem interesting and job oriented. That's why I am hesitant and confused what to do.

Suresh: This is quite a common problem with students. Sometimes without adequate knowledge and understanding, students take wrong decisions while selecting a career option. But I simply suggest one simple thing. You should take expert advice. Should take advice from elders, seniors and from professors. With all these, you will have some clarity. You should also consider job opportunities. Your liking, disliking and your area of interest are also very very important while making the decision about a career. After listening and considering all you should listen to your heart.

Mahesh: That's a great idea.

Suresh: Let me tell you one very important thing frankly. You should focus now on you present studies and exam instead of worrying about all these. You should utilise all your energies in current studies as this is your last and final year of  BA. Afterwards, you can think about all of these.
